Forests and mountains
Hainan’s interior offers a different perspective from the coast. Consider the Wuzhishan area or forest destinations, choosing designated routes suited to your fitness. Arrange both access and return transport before heading out.
Yanoda and outings from the south
Yanoda is one option to compare when planning a nature outing from the Sanya area. Check ticket inclusions, difficulty and transport. Do not assume every activity is suitable for children.
Weather can change the plan
Rainfall and humidity affect trails. Check local notices, closures and forecasts before setting out. Turning back or postponing is better than following a plan in unsuitable conditions.
Preparation and respect
Bring suitable footwear, water and rain protection. Stay on designated paths, do not feed animals and take rubbish with you. For longer routes, tell someone your plan and expected return time.
